WHAT IS THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM?
Family Self-Sufficiency is a program sponsored by the Housing Authority of the City of Freeport that partners and works with residents to help them increase their financial independence and achieve the goals and plans they have for themselves and their families.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME AS A PARTICIPANT?
- Assistance in setting and meeting goals by providing and connecting you with community resources such as continued education; job training; employment opportunities; financial literacy; assistance in obtaining child care, health care, support groups, and much more.
- Use the services provided to increase your earned income
- SAVINGS! Turn your increased earnings into a savings account using your rent payment Upon successful completion of the FSS program, you receive what’s been saved.
